Sunshine, a 2 year old domestic shorthair kitty, was brought to the shelter with a severe injury to her right front paw. The paw appeared to have been crushed and partially amputated. The wound was not fresh and had begun to scab over without healing properly. Despite her injury, Sunshine remained a bundle of sweetness, full of purrs and love. Her right front leg was medically amputated. After surgery, Sunshine spent time in foster care to recover. Once she was able to move about freely and adapted to her new lifestyle of 3 legs, she was returned to the shelter and adopted to her forever family.
