Mobile Adoption

Funds from generous donations were recently used to purchase a fully functional, pet-friendly, mobile adoption unit that includes a trailer and a truck to pull it. The trailer, outfitted with 14 cages for cats and pocket pets, is climate controlled, has running water and contains all amenities to properly care for the animals. Sometimes dogs are also transported with a handler. Same-day adoptions can be completed from the trailer. The mobile adoption unit allows the Humane Society to reach all areas of the county and serves as another way of getting animals out of the shelter and in front of the public, ultimately saving lives.
