Dog Kennels Reopen–Monday, 7/15
Update (7/12/24) The canine influenza test results have come back and they are negative. The dogs that have been displaying symptoms have bacterial kennel cough. All of the dogs with symptoms are currently being treated. After consulting with our veterinary partner we will be reopening our dog kennels on Monday, 7/15.
**Dog kennels will still be closed Friday 7/12 and Saturday 7/13. Our cat rooms are open for adoption visits with normal hours.
7/9/24 Due to an abundance of caution the Humane Society is closing our dog kennels to the public from 7/9-7/13.
We have a dog exhibiting symptoms that may be canine influenza and we are closing the kennels until we have test results back.
If you have visited our kennels or adopted a dog in the last week please watch your dog(s) for signs of canine influenza which are coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, fever, eye discharge, lethargy, and reduced appetite.
If you have any concerns about your dog(s) please contact your veterinarian.
